The Irish Diaspora Center is sponsoring a day trip to Ellis Island, New York on Monday, May 1, 2023.

 Our bus will depart from Saint Kevin’s Church (200 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064) at 8.30 am.

 The price for the trip is $45 which includes a ticket to Ellis Island and charter bus fare.

We are expected to arrive at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey by 10:30 at which point we will take the 11 AM ferry to Ellis Island.

Once on the island we will be able to stroll around and explore the National Museum of Immigration.

Lunch can be purchased at the Ellis Cafe, which offers snacks and refreshments as well as salads and sandwiches and also has a gift shop and bookstore.

Ferries depart from Ellis Island every 20 minutes and our plan is to depart from the island at 4 PM and board the bus by 5 PM which should have us back to our starting point (St. Pius) by 7 PM.

Seating is limited to 50 and will be reserved on a first-come basis. Reservations and payments are due by April 19th.
